Permitted service line usage

Permitted service line logo usage is currently available only to the Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine service line. Permitted usage includes UF Health orthopaedic and sports medicine service line logos locked with the USOPC dual composite mark consisting of the Olympic rings, the Paralympic Agitos and the American Flag across all UF Health regions.

The USOPC has approved use of the USOPC designation for orthopaedic and sports medicine service line collateral material, advertising and marketing. Any service line logo not explicitly shown in these guidelines is currently not permitted to be used with the USOPC mark. Use of the USOPC designation in connection with one of these orthopaedic and sports medicine marks must follow these guidelines and be approved by the USOPC prior to use.

Use of the Orthopaedic designation must use one of the approved logo lock-ups highlighted in this document, or, if the marks are separated, the USOPC marks must appear secondary, and not primary, in nature, such that all mark appearances must be less prominent than references to the UF Health logo.

USOPC marks cannot be broken into elements. The entire logo must be used.

Logo usage not permitted

The USOPC mark may not be used with an established affiliate’s logo where the UF Health logo appears in association with another organization, such as Halifax Health or CareSpot as two examples.

It also is not allowed to be used when promoting an affiliated service that is not directly owned and/or managed by UF Health but is branded as UF Health.

  • The USOPC mark shall not be used in any domain names registered or used by UF Health
  • UF Health shall avoid using a USOPC mark in connection with any other third-party organization
  • The medical network marks cannot be used for commercial purposes, i.e., any solicitation of money, including donations

All editorial content ideas need to be pre-approved by the USOPC and the UF Health marketing team.)

The USOPC Dual Composite mark formatting guidelines

Separation from UF Health Logo: The USOPC marks and the UF Health logo can be treated as distinct elements outside of the provided logo lock-ups. While they can coexist in the same creative piece, they should never intersect, overlap or sit directly next to each other without appropriate spacing in a way that would confuse the hierarchy or representation. This distinction is crucial in preserving the autonomy and significance of both the UF Health logo and the USOPC mark.

The dual composite consists of three powerful symbols—the Olympic rings, the Paralympic Agitos, and the American Flag—that together communicate our overarching mission—to support U.S. Olympic and Paralympic athletes in achieving sustained competitive excellence while demonstrating the values of the Olympic and paralympic movements. A complete list of Dual Composite color combinations can be found in the color rubric below.

A. Padding

The padding around and between the elements of the Dual Composite is defined by the width of the rectangle of stars in the flag.

B. Minimum size

The minimum size of the Dual Composite is 100 px or 1.04 in.
